PFA students raise money for Cystic Fibrosis

A group of students from Parkside Federation Academies cycled from Kings Lynn to Cambridge to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.

Danny Holt said “We learnt about Cystic Fibrosis in our Biology lesson.  It inspired us to want to make a difference so we decided to set ourselves a challenge to try and raise as much money as we could for Cystic Fibrosis”.

The students achieved the cycle ride on one of the worst weather days of the year, braving rain, snow and freezing conditions. They raised £1,332 overall for Cystic Fibrosis and were delighted to be able to present Sandra Howarth of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust with a cheque for £1,332.

Sandra said “what the boys have achieved is absolutely fantastic.  They chose to support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and people born with Cystic Fibrosis do not have such a choice.  The amount of money they have raised really will make a difference.  Thank you to all of them and their supporters”.
