“The idea is to get people back into the habit of enjoying reading. Whether they are reluctant kids or embarrassed adults, reading has the power to change everyone’s lives, and the message that I try to give to them is that if I can do it, anyone can.”
- Andy McNab, author
Welcome to PFA Libraries: we have a library on both the Parkside and Coleridge campuses, with the Mitchell Library for the Sixth form at Parkside. The libraries are spaces for independent study, small group work and occasionally whole class teaching. We aim to provide access to a good range of information in both digital and paper formats and to ensure that all pupils are competent and confident information users.
The libraries are very busy during break and lunch when students can enjoy a reading-rich culture, work on homework and take part in reading groups and activities.
You can access our online catalogue HERE

The libraries are open from 8am until 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am until 4pm on a Friday.
The library team is dedicated to meeting pupil enquiry and research needs and works across both sites.
